field recordings intersect with imperfect improvisations of home-made instruments and hardware processing - gestures, spaces and serendipitous compositions thread together for a familiar but distorted listening situation - incongruous sources open a dialogue between the city of den haag and a resident who moved through it

all sound sources are given the status ‘instrument’ and the objects and forces which move them, ‘exciters’ - post production is strictly limited, focussing intently on the qualities of the recordings as they are - for this reason, attention is drawn to the places / spaces, and situation of each sound source - conventional instruments have also been avoided - each sound source was either built, found or occured automatically
